offers a full range of training and consultation to help organizations, groups, and communities understand trauma and trauma-informed care, engage in collaborative approaches, and more effectively meet the needs of the individuals they serve. We specialize in working with groups and individuals impacted by adversity. All trainings can be tailored to your team’s or organization’s needs and for specific audiences. Trainings are typically interactive.

The Building Blocks Of Trauma Informed Organizations

Provides organizations with strategies necessary to build and sustain a trauma informed culture; offers steps to developing and implementing trauma informed practices, policies, and procedures.

Trauma Informed Care 101

A brief information session that introduces attendees to trauma informed care (basic concepts and theory).

1-2 hours

Helping the Helper

A session dedicated to those who work with individuals impacted by trauma. This workshop is designed to help attendees better understand vicarious trauma, secondary trauma, and burnout. This session will include small group discussion and emphasis on self-reflection.

2-3 hours

Introduction to Trauma Informed Care

Provides an overview of trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACES), and trauma informed principles. Traumatic stress is reviewed.

1-2 hours

Trauma in the lives of children

An introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES)

Updated research about childhood trauma gives us refreshed insight into the importance of relationships between adults and children.  This presentation introduces the groundbreaking ACES study, the implications for those who teach and care for children and the impactful things that we can do to mitigate the effects of trauma and build secure and safe relationships with the children in our spheres of influence.

2-3 hours

Youth mental health first aid

Youth Mental Health First AID (YMHFA) is a training that is designed to teach school staff, members of faith communities, teachers, parents, family members, peers, health and human service workers, and other caring individuals how to help a youth or adolescent (under age 18) who is experiencing a mental health crisis or addictions challenge.  This training is ideal for adults who interact with young people.
